North Korea has accused South Korea of flying drones into its capital, ratcheting up tensions that have been simmering for months. A Ugandan national was slapped with a five-year jail term for raising a false terror attack alarm to Interpol General Secretariat in France to punish his wife. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that Moses Kabali authored an email to Interpol on June 30, 2024, urging them to alert Kenya security agencies of an imminent terrorist attack by a known terrorist group. At least 20 Haitian gang members were on Sunday and Monday fatally shot during a security operation carried out by the Haitian police jointly with Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) officers. The Port of Mombasa recorded a remarkable increase in cargo throughput for the period January to September 2024, handling a total of 29.92 million tons. Two people died Monday evening in a tragic accident after being hit by a vehicle in the Decimo area, Ruaka, within Kiambaa constituency, Kiambu County. The vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV, which was involved in the fatal incident, was set on fire by an irate mob following the accident, police said. Police are investigating murder in a case where the body of a 63-year-old man was found in at the farm former Administration Police commandant Shadrack Mutia Muiu in Mukaa, Sultan Hamud, Makueni County. A man collapsed and died as he walked on a Nairobi street. Police said the incident happened Tuesday October 14 afternoon at the junction of Luthuli Avenue/River Road. Google has signed a deal to use small nuclear reactors to generate the vast amounts of energy needed to power its artificial intelligence (AI) data centres.
