Antwoine Williams is facing felony charges of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting or impeding police, along with several lesser misdemeanour charges. The Cabinet Thursday approved transfer of Amboseli National Park to County Government of Kajiado, a move aimed at helping local administration and community reap more from their conservation efforts. The meeting also discussed and approved the upgrading of five Technical Training Institutes to National Polytechnics. These are Michuki TTI, Mitunguu TTI, Ol’ lessos TTI, Nairobi TTI and Friends College of Research and Technology in Kaimosi. National polytechnics will now increase from 23 to 28. The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced on Thursday that fuel prices for November will remain unchanged, with no changes to the costs of Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene. According to EPRA’s latest review, Super Petrol will continue to be priced at Sh180.66 per liter, Diesel at Sh168.06, and Kerosene at Sh151.39, maintaining last month’s rates. A Magistrates court allowed the detention of John Karima Wainaina, a suspect linked to the Sh1.5 billion heist at Equity Bank, for 10 days to allow for forensic investigations.  Wainaina, who was arrested on November 9 at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), had been under surveillance by police, who tracked his movements after he returned from China. Wainaina is believed to be part of an organized criminal group involved in bank fraud and money laundering, using insider connections to infiltrate the bank’s IT systems. Two people drowned in separate incidents reported to police on Wednesday November 12. The first incident happened in Ruring’u, Nyeri County and involved a 15-year-old boy. The victim was a student at Aguthi Secondary School. He was with other friends at a river in the area when the incident happened. The body was retrieved by local divers and moved to the Nyeri Hospital mortuary pending autopsy. Elsewhere in Uriri, Migori County, a seven-year old girl drowned in a river after she drowned. A 33-year-old man collapsed and died in a barbershop in Chuka, Tharaka Nithi. He had visited the joint to trim his hair when the incident happened on Wednesday, police said. Police and witnesses said Samuel Nawira was at the barbershop in Ngagani area when he collapsed. He was rushed to Chuka Referral Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Apple is facing a legal claim accusing it of effectively locking 40 million British customers into its iCloud service and charging them “rip off prices.” Consumer group Which? says the legal action – which it has launched – could result in a £3bn payout if it is successful, equivalent to £70 per customer. Officials in Mexico have arrested a man suspected of involvement in the brutal murder of the mayor of the city of Chilpancingo last month.  The killing of Alejandro Arcos, whose beheaded body was found just days after he had been sworn in as mayor, caused shock and revulsion in the violence-wracked state of Guerrero.
