An elephant attacked and killed an 11-year-old girl aged 11 in a village in Narok South, Narok County. Officials said a grade three pupil at Rekero Primary School was attacked and seriously injured by an elephant while she was going to school on February 26 in Aitong Location. She died on the spot. A Lebanese man who is wanted in the US was arrested on Thursday in a police operation at a Nairobi hotel. Antoine Kassis Elias was arrested from Windsor Hotel hours after he had landed in the city. Two people were arrested at a city club as the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) intensified its crackdown on shisha dens. The two were arrested on Wednesday February 26 night after NACADA’s enforcement officers raided Paris Lounge in Lang’ata in Nairobi and confiscated a large consignment of shisha products. A police officer was shot and killed in an attack by two gunmen in Mandera Town, Mandera County. Corporal Hassan Omar, 55 was on patrol in the area near Taqwa Mosque when two gunmen confronted him on February 25, police said. The gunmen shot him twice in the head, killing him on the spot. They escaped towards the nearby Kenya-Somalia border without stealing anything from him.
