A woman who accused Conor McGregor of raping her has won her claim against him for damages in a civil case. A jury found that the Irish mixed martial arts fighter assaulted Nikita Hand in a Dublin hotel in December 2018. He has been ordered to pay her more than €248,000 (£206,000) in damages. The High Court Friday stopped the government from implementing orders requiring travellers entering Kenya to declare the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) numbers of any mobile devices they intend to use while in the country. The High Court quashed a public notice issued by Safaricom in October 2022 that introduced expiry dates on its loyalty program popularly known as Bonga Points.   Justice Chacha Mwita at the same time prohibited Safaricom from giving effect to the notice which purported to introduce expiry dates on Bonga points service of more than three years. At least five people were Friday killed in a road accident involving three vehicles at Kangocho area between Karatina and Sagana, Kirinyaga County.  Police said several others were injured in the accident. A missing police officer was found dead in his house in Industrial Area police residence, Nairobi. Constable Peter Munene of Central police station in Nairobi had not reported to work for a day. A carpenter who had been missing was found dead in Lake Yahud area, Wajir County. Mahat Ali Gedow, 48 was reported missing on November 19. His body was found in the water the following day. A 48-year-old woman died after collapsing in her bathroom in Malaa area, Nairobi. Scolastica Nzoka Mutinda was showering in her bathroom when she slid and fell. Her husband responded and took her to a hospital in the Joska area where she died on arrival on Wednesday November 20. Regulators in South Africa have recalled a batch of the popular Yaz Plus contraceptive pill, after a packaging mix-up which means the contraception could be potentially ineffective.  Manufacturer Bayer Ltd said women using pills from the affected batch should stop immediately and seek medical advice. A packaging mix-up led to a number of blister packs carrying 24 inactive pills, instead of 24 hormone-containing active pills. It said in a post on its service status page it was experiencing “a system issue” that affecting multiple PayPal Products – including account withdrawal and express checkout. A 43-year-old man was fatally shot by police in Las Vegas after he called 911 for help while fighting off an intruder in his home. The family of Brandon Durham, including his 15-year-old daughter who was hiding in a nearby room, have asked for the officer to be fired.
