A 67-year-old man was shot dead by unknown assailants who stormed his homestead in Ekenawa Village, Ikonge Sub-Location, Nyamira County, on Tuesday night. The deceased, identified as Alfayo Misuko Aremba, was attacked at about 11pm on August 25. The motive was not immediately known. A three-and-a-half-year-old boy died after a fire broke out in his mother’s rented house in Kwa Mashariki area, Mwingi Central Sub-County, Kitui County.
