President William Ruto replaced former nominated senator Millicent Omanga to the Nairobi Rivers Commission after she declined the position of a member.  Ruto named Josephat Abaga Fan Sagero to the commission in a special gazette notice dated October 28. “The appointment of Omanga Millicent is revoked pursuant to section 51 of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act,” the notice said. Detectives are investigating the murder of a 34-year-old woman whose body had been stuffed in a sack and abandoned in a thicket in Utawala area, Nairobi. The woman was identified as Jennifer Mutheu Nzula. Police said the body had been stuffed into a sack and tied up with a laundry cloth cover on the thicket edge along Githunguri Road. The body had no visible injuries when it was discovered on Monday October 28. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations. Police said they suspect the woman was killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the site.…

A Sierra Leone national was found dead in his apartment after failing to report to work. Sansey Mangeh, 68 worked for International Organisation of Immigration (IOM) in Nairobi. He had failed to report to work on Monday October 28 when some of his workmates decided to check on him. He had also failed to respond to his calls, which raised alarm among the colleagues. His body was found in his serviced apartment in Kileleshwa, Nairobi. The husband to one of the woman who were murdered and their bodies dumped in separate places was Monday grilled over the incident. Detectives based at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said they wanted to hear the side of the husband to Waris Dahabo Daud, 38. She, Amina Abdirashid and her niece, Nusayba Abdi Mohammed were brutally murdered in Nairobi on October 21. The husband was away in the UK at the time of the incident. A suspect linked to the gruesome murder of the late Willis Onyango Ayieko, former Human Resource Manager at Wells Fargo, was Monday arrested in Nairobi. The arrest was made following a probe by multi agency teams, police said. The suspect identified as Victor Ouma Okoth was flushed out of his hideout in Nairobi’s Dandora Phase IV Monday night, where he had rented a house using proceeds of the heinous crime, police said. Police and the family of slain Wells Fargo Human Resource Manager Willis Onyango Ayieko plan an autopsy on the body on Tuesday October 29. Two new lawsuits have been filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs accusing the music mogul of sexual assault.  Both lawsuits, which were filed in New York, include accusations by men who were underage at the time of the alleged assaults. In one, the alleged victim was 10 at the time. The second alleges Mr Combs assaulted a teenage boy who was auditioning for the popular MTV reality show “Making the Band”, which the rapper produced. A newly unveiled statue of beloved US basketball star Dwyane Wade has sparked online backlash after some said they couldn’t see a resemblance to the ex-Miami Heat icon.  The statue depicts Wade yelling “this is my house” after scoring a game-winning three-point shot against the Chicago Bulls in 2009. Manchester United are in talks about appointing Sporting manager Ruben Amorim as Erik ten Hag’s replacement. Dutchman Ten Hag was sacked on Monday following the side’s poor start to the season. The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission seized 121 counterfeit ‘official’ stamps from Bomet Roads Engineer Victor Kipkemoi Cheruiyot, who is implicated in a Sh1.6 billion fraud scheme involving senior officials from the Bomet County Government.  This was revealed after a raid on his home, EACC said. President William Ruto has announced that logging licenses will no longer be issued opaquely. Instead, Ruto has directed that this should from now on be done through open and public tendering. A trainee catholic nun who went missing from Rongo Catholic Church on Thursday, October 24, was found dead in a sewer pit within the Rongo parish sister convent. Homa Bay diocese vicar general Gabriel Atieno said the body of the deceased, aged 23, was found floating inside a sewer pit within the sister convent by one of the nuns who was heading to the farm. Activist Boniface Mwangi has been released after being held for several hours at the Kamukunji Police Station. Mwangi was arrested on Sunday morning from his home in Machakos, where he was with his two sons. He was later located at Kamukunji Police Station in Nairobi, where he was detained.
